We use pure essential oils for scent. Synthetic/artificial fragrances are NEVER included. Cold process soap ages wonderfully the longer it sits & cures! Essential oil scent in cold process soap, however, is well known to be ephemeral (fleeting, brief), with some fading quicker than others; citrus blends for instance. We embrace this natural characteristic, referring to our soaps as “lightly scented,” celebrating the essence of natural goodness. If your soap bar loses some of its aroma, rest assured that its quality remains very exceptional and intact. Enjoy!​​​
If your soap bar appears to have lost some of its scent, it’s either due to the explanation noted above and/or the following: As soap dries, the outer layer or ‘shell’ of the bar develops a barrier and the scent on that outer barrier may seem to fade. Once you use your soap again, the scent ‘inside’ begins to come out, or seems to return! ​​
For stronger or 'leave-on' scent, follow up your cleanse with our lusciously scented whipped body butters.
The whipped body butters are seasonal, so stock up when in season! ​​
